Windsurfing: The Dip-Felixstowe
Wind Direction: wsw
Wind Stength: 10/15
Surf / Sea State: slight
Air Temperature: 15
Sea Temperature: 9
Weather: clouldy
Max Speed: 20 (knots - unless stated otherwise)
Distance Covered: 32 (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise)

With only light winds forecast it was a day for abit of longboard cruising :) so after breakfast at The Dip,I set off on a beat towards the dock in the cross off wsw. With a nice breeze I decided to cross the shipping channel and head for Titchmarsh via Dovercourt.I sailed up the river turning just short of the marina. There are some great flat water spots for speed sailing around this area but access is'nt great and you would be best dropped off by boat !!! I had some good reaches across from Stone Point overtaking the racing dinghies from Walton on the Naze Yacht Club and then started the long 9 mile reach back but sadly the wind dropped and it was really slow going for an hour before the wind returned abit on the Felixstowe side :) I stopped at The Fludgers for a word with some windsurfer there (they did'nt have a great time as wind too light) and then returned to The Dip some three and a half hours after starting !!! So long boards are great they just get you on the water so much more :)
